This is our moment to advocate for Edgewood's future.
The 2026 Bond decisions will shape Edgewood's learning environment for the next 10-15 years.
The next capital bond will not be until 2035/2036.
As a Scarsdale resident, your taxes will be impacted by this bond—whether Edgewood is included or not—and your voice ensures the tax burden pays for Edgewood's needs.

✅ The Demographic Study is out and indicates Edgewood will need additional classrooms by 2027.
From Dr. Patrick's Friday Five: "Two important outcomes of these discussions that the Board determined were 1) the redistricting laid out in the report is not a viable option, as it would potentially create more issues than solutions, and 2) the growing need for classrooms and spaces for services at Edgewood and Fox Meadow needs to be addressed while maintaining equity amongst the schools in the District."

Questions & Answers
Questions about the bond as it pertains to Edgewood?
Please submit your questions via this form.
What is the 2026 Capital Projects Bond?
Every 10-15 years, the Board of Education proposes a Capital Projects Bond to fund large, long-term projects (e.g. the Greenacres expansion) not covered by the District's annual budget. A bond is essentially a loan, with the debt service included in the community's annual property taxes. This bond will be put forward to a community-wide vote in Q1/Q2 2026. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to address Edgewood's needs and improve its learning environment. The next bond cycle will not be until 2035/2036.
How will it affect me?
If approved, the bond will impact your child's (or grandchild's) learning environment, your property value, and your property taxes.
Where are we in the process?
It's not too late; the Board of Education has not finalized the bond. Community input and advocacy matter as they deliberate—they're asking for your input now.
How does the Board determine what projects are covered by the proposed Bond?
Based on recommendations from District administration, building leadership, facilities assessments, enrollment projections, and your input.
