EDGEWOOD SCHOOL BUS

Fridays are the days to ride the Edgewood Walking School Bus!

As the weather stays friendly (fall & spring), you can count on your bus to arrive right on time!

Why Ride the bus?

Besides how wonderful it is to see a big group of children bouncing their backpacks together down the sidewalks to school, the Walking School Bus gives you time to enjoy talking and laughing with friends and neighbors, gets your muscles moving and blood flowing while your lungs fill with fresh morning air, helps the environment by leaving your car parked in the driveway, and gets your child to school on time! It's an Edgewood favorite for a reason!

See the schedule below to know the approximate times to come and meet up with your fellow commuters. Parents, along with one or two teachers will be walking the routes as well. Hope you can join us. The more parent volunteers the better! Please keep an eye on your emails for cancellations or other notices about the Bus.

WALKING SCHOOL BUS FAQ’s

Must I walk with my child?

The PTA Executive committee asks that parents use common sense when deciding if a child can walk without them to school. That said, Kindergarten through 2nd graders MUST have a parent or caregiver walk along with the child.

Can our family dog walk with the school bus?

School district policy prohibits dogs from walking on school property. In addition, some children are frightened of dogs. For everyone's enjoyment and peace of mind, please leave Fido at home.
