Edgewood families do not qualify for school bus service as we live so close to the school. To give our young kids a similar experience, we hold “walking school bus” in the morning on select dates, weather permitting. During these events, kids and parents will walk to school together along a predetermined route and schedule. You can sign up via the link provided in the Edgewood Extra newsletter, or simply join us at a designated "bus stop" to participate.

Must I walk with my child?

The PTA Executive committee asks that parents use common sense when deciding if a child can walk without them to school. That said, Kindergarten through 2nd graders MUST have a parent or caregiver walk along with the child.

Can our family dog walk with the school bus?

School district policy prohibits dogs from walking on school property. In addition, some children are frightened of dogs. For everyone's enjoyment and peace of mind, please leave Fido at home.
